Local pianist Scott Wilseck splits his time between Estes Park and Chicago. He began playing with a country band in the 1980s that was very improvisational and since then has made that his forté.
"I love improvising and playing by ear," Scott explains. "I don't memorize the songs. There is something more than memory there. It's like whistling. You don't memorize the tune, you just start whistling."
Scott has accompanied a wide variety of acts; locally including the band Riverside Ramblers and musician Vic Anderson. He has provided live, ragtime accompaniment for the Estes Park Silent Film Festival for four years.
